        New sewer line pipe sizes and grades are designed for ultimate flows
           Sometimes it takes years to achieve the designed flows.

H2S buildup can be controlled through flows but sometimes the design
 for flows which result in low H2S generation can result in expensive first costs
 as grades and pipe  sizes must adequate to solve the problem.
Often  large  new homes in  subdivisions are for families whose children are grown;
 thus having low  water discharges due to the  non-presence of children.
 (Fewer baths, less laundry, less dishwasher use ,fewer toilet flushes)
The result is a higher strength sewage  which can  may contribute to the H2S build up.
Installing OdorKnocker Model RX Manhole Odor Control Insert units
 addresses the problem before it happens. There is no need to place one in each manhole,
 just properly spaced in key manholes. The RX is easy to move from one manhole to another. 
 If it is felt in the future that the flows in the line are sufficient to help prevent the H2S build up,
 it may be preferable to move it to another manhole location, either in the same or another area.
.In addition, all units are shipped with extra media for refilling.
